Class of ’82 – New Wave Tribute performs fun and catchy New Wave / Synthpop / Alt music from from iconic bands / artists, one-hit wonders, and those hidden gems that deserved a little more love. Our audiences can’t help but dance and sing along to music from artists such as: Duran Duran, A-ha, Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears, Erasure, China Crisis, Men Without Hats, A Flock of Seagulls, Naked Eyes, Kajagoogoo, Wang Chung, Talking Heads, and many more. Talk about reliving MTV’s golden era!
Meet the band: Josh Duffee – Drums. Josh founded the band and thoughtfully curated the overall musical / aesthetic vision. Josh is also passionate about performing Bix-era jazz music from the 1920s-40s. He regularly performs at Bix related events around the world. He shares his lifelong love for drums / percussion by teaching at his residence or virtually.
Devin Alexander – Bass / Lead & backup vocals. The release Cracked and Crooked from his previous band, Post Mortems, is essential listening. Devin is a horror movie fanatic and fronts his band Giallows. Giallows performs original music that evokes 70/80s horror themes and menacing textures.
Zach Metzger – Synths / Sound Design. Zach is absolutely obsessed with evoking authentic 80s soundscapes. Zach also performs bass with his budding ’90s / ’00s Semi-Charmed. His enthusiasm on-stage is contagious which elevates our shows overall!
Bryce Swanson – Rhythm & Lead Guitar – often simultaneously! / Backup Vocals. Bryce teaches guitar / piano at QC Rock Academy and also performs with our friends at Soul Storm. Bryce also enjoys the thrill of thrifting to land those unique finds. He’s just effortlessly cool. We’re jealous.
Vic Roberts – Lead & backup vocals / Keytar in the not so distant future. Vic played keyboards and sang backup vocals in the early 2000s with synthpop band Brand New Idol. Vic also composes music for film / media. He lived and loved this music growing up and now enjoys performing it regularly!
